Corrie’s latest episode revealed one hell of a cliffhanger ending; Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) is alive after all. But what does this mean for newly engaged Swarla, not to mention that Betsy is also going to inevitably find out? One thing is for sure, Hurricane Becky is just getting started.

Three is definitely a crowd as these new location images reveal. When the popular couple search for the answers to the many questions they have, it leads to an emotional confrontation in the park where Becky and Lisa used to take daughter Betsy as a child.

‘Becky’s wife, Lisa, is about to get engaged and married to another woman, Carla. It was dangerous for Becky to return before, but her primary objective is to be with her wife and daughter,’ Amy revealed. ‘Now that Carla is a clear threat and Lisa and Carla are deeply in love, Becky feels she must return to try and reclaim her family, even if that puts her at risk.’

‘What we know so far about Becky and Costello’s relationship is just the tip of the iceberg; what’s underneath is much more complicated and hidden. It will be a lot of fun watching that unfold. Daon Bruni is amazing and a brilliant scene partner. He’s going to tangle the story even further and create more brilliant drama and chaos.’

‘While there wasn’t a direct threat to that central family unit, she kept her distance,’ shared Amy. ‘I agree with fans who might be furious to see someone come in and disrupt one of the most beautiful on-screen relationships. It’s unconscionable, and they should be angry. However, it’s such a complicated relationship that other feelings will emerge as it unfolds. Things forged in fire only get stronger. Becky is a “spanner in the works”.

Coronation Street has today also revealed new spoilers for next week in the aftermath of Becky’s return as Carla puts pressure on Lisa to tell Betsy the truth about Becky, knowing she’ll find out in the end and be more heartbroken. But Becky isn’t taking no for an answer and breaks down begging Lisa to let her see their daughter.

Not willing to inflict any more pain on Betsy, Carla tells Becky to go. Later, Becky watches as Betsy talks to Ryan. Will she blow her cover and reach out to her daughter?
