Coronation Street air these scenes from Monday 22 September on ITV1

So Becky is sticking around Coronation Street, and next week she reveals that she’ll be moving in nearby. When Betsy suggests Lisa could help her move her stuff, Lisa is forced to go along with it. As they wait in the car together, Becky discusses Carla.

Carla tells Ryan that she trusts Lisa implicitly, but when Ryan wonders if she trusts Becky to the same degree, Carla masks her unease.

Later, when Becky quizzes Betsy about the last four years, hoping to make up for lost time, Betsy gets upset and hurries away. When Becky calls, Carla asserts that it would be best for everyone if she went back to playing dead.

It’s also not looking like the happiest of weeks for Kevin and Abi as Abi is left ‘horrified’ by Carl’s actions and later breaks up with Kevin.

As the week gets underway, Abi quizzes Carl about Tracy. Carl makes out that he fed her a sob story, she bought it and won’t be bothering them again. Abi thanks Tracy for backing off. But when Tracy reveals she didn’t have much choice as Carl got someone to trash her shop and threatened to hurt her Dad, Abi’s horrified.

At the hospital for Kevin’s cancer check, the doctor gives him the all clear. Kevin floods with relief whilst Abi hides her unease, especially when Kevin states he’s looking forward to them growing old together. Abi meets up with Carl and tells him she hates leading a double life and lying to Kevin. Back at home Kevin suggests they spend their retirement doing up old cars. Abi steals herself and drops the bombshell that she thinks they should break up.

Kevin tells Tyrone about his break up with Abi and how he suspects she might be having an affair with Carl. Tyrone shares his own frustration over the hit and run and how the police are no nearer to finding out who was responsible. In the hotel bedroom, Abi snuggles up next to Carl and suggests it’s time for them to run away together and start a new life. Carl tries to make light of the situation. Debbie pays Carl a visit and is shocked to find Abi there.
