Robert arrives at Keepers and is alarmed to see Kev talking with his sister Victoria. Soon Victoria presses Robert for an explanation regarding Kev, urging him to disclose the truth to Aaron. At the cafe, Robert introduces Kev to Charles and Claudette, his new hosts. Robert is visibly shaken when Kev returns to the cafe and encounters Aaron, prompting Robert to question his ability to maintain separate lives, especially after downplaying his past with Kev to Aaron.
As he juggles his exes’ proximity to each other Robert’s anxiety heightens and soon under pressure from Victoria, Robert finally agrees to end his relationship with Kev.
Robert is guilt ridden when Aaron, unaware of Robert’s double life, joyfully announces their renewed relationship to those in the Woolpack. Robert reiterates to Kev how he is concerned by his underlying aggression and Kev promises to change and be better but with Robert failing to be honest and still attempting to balance both relationships Kev is suspicious something is amiss. And Aaron too is starting to sense something is off.
Soon Kev shocks Robert by giving him a fancy new watch and kisses him in public. Robert is horrified to realise Aaron saw the whole exchange.
Aaron immediately ends their relationship. In a desperate attempt to reconcile, Robert reveals the shocking truth: he and Kev are married, Kev is terminally ill, and Robert stands to inherit a substantial fortune. Still determined to keep Aaron, Robert vows he will end things with Kev: but will he succeed?
