It’s that time of year and there a plethora of spooky goings on in soapland as events dish up more tricks then treats. Becky adds to Carla’s drama in Corrie, Kev to Aaron’s in Emmerdalae and over in EastEnders there is the discovery of something kids today won’t understand – a VHS tape.

Halloween is off to a bad start for Alfie when a burst sewer pipe leaks in the barrel store. While cleaning up, Alfie discovers a VHS tape from the 1980s. He tries to broker peace between Jean, Kat and Zoe. Kat forgives Zoe, but Jean refuses and falls out with Kat. Ross arrives at The Vic with a video player for the tape, but Kat has second thoughts, worried it might upset Zoe.
Suki and Eve prepare to meet adoptive parents, but chaos ensues when Ravi, Priya and their family return from holiday. The Panesars try to support Eve and Suki ahead of their meeting, which is a success. However, Eve panics when she learns she will need a reference from her mum to proceed with the adoption.
Feeling guilty about lying to Priya, Ravi meets with Okie who assures him that Harry and Kojo have been released and Ravi hands leadership of the business over to Okie.
The good mood is short-lived for Julie and Nigel after she finds him safe, when an emotional Nigel says he is too unwell for them to go to India.
Meanwhile, following Lauren’s advice, Oscar decides to find out what Jasmine is hiding and questions her at The Albert.

Aaron returns home and is pressured by Chas to apologise to Vinny and discuss his fight with Robert.
Kerry meets Matty at the shop with Jacob, and they read the coroner’s report on the limo crash. Kerry is focussed on cheering up a heartbroken Matty and tries to lift the mood with a drinking game. Jai walks in and, not understanding the emotional context, fires her on the spot.

Celia makes Moira an offer to buy and sell turkeys.

Mack and Ross show early signs of a surprising friendship.

Cassie takes Hope to the salon for a Halloween makeover, but as Hope sits down she receives another nasty text.
Outside the Rovers, Ben removes Eva’s blindfold and reveals that he’s bought the pub for her. Across the street, Maria watches in horror, Eva Price is back!
Lisa tells Roy that Carla is due home today, she can’t wait to see her and any feelings she had for Becky are in the past. But when Becky purposely lets slip that she’s been staying over at No.6, Carla’s taken aback.

Having been thrown out of the pub by Ben, James finds Carl in the backyard and assures him that despite his recent behaviour, he still cares about him. They’re startled when Debbie appears. How much has she heard?
Maggie comes across Asha and seeing she’s upset, encourages her to share her troubles. Maggie gently questions Asha who opens up about life as a paramedic and her attempted suicide. When Maggie suggests she must have helped people in similar situations in her line of work and it’s time she showed herself the same kindness, her words strike a chord.
