Neighbours kicks off a new week, and here are 5 of the big storylines unfolding in Erinsborough as tensions rise, families fracture, and long-buried emotions resurface.

- Jane, Clint, Nicolette and Addison face growing complications
Paul and Terese touch base on his plans to split his time between New York and Erinsborough, with Paul now believing he could potentially have his kids move back to Australia full time. Hinting at bigger ambitions than just the V Bar, Paul is determined to bring the Robinson clan together for their biggest venture yet, right here in Melbourne.
Jane and Clint continue to fight their feelings for each other, with Addison now attuned to the chemistry between the pair. When Clint confesses his lingering feelings to Jane and invites her to spend the day with himself and Addison yet again, Addison catches the pair in a charged moment and lets her insecurities reign. Jane is reluctant to believe this theory, but Nicolette urges her mum to back off until she can be sure of his motives.
Spooked after Nicolette tells Jane about her suspicions regarding Clint using Addison to get to her, Jane decides to keep her distance. Clint is left confused and hurt when Jane tells him she thinks they should take a step back, citing Addison as the reason. Determined to figure out the matter, Clint asks Nicolette, who tells him about her concerns. But Clint tells Nicolette she’s got the wrong end of the stick. Instead of trying to use Addison to win Jane back like she thought, he wanted to pick Jane’s brain about whether or not he should be worried about Krista and Leo’s fostering plans.
- Krista, Leo and Nicolette face emotional decisions about fostering
Krista finally speaks her truth to Leo, admitting this arrangement with Nicolette doesn’t feel right. When Leo suggests going and finding a different surrogate, Krista is forced to clarify that having a baby doesn’t feel right at all. She wants to foster.
An irate Nicolette confronts Krista, who does her best to calm the situation and mollify Addison’s worries that this latest change in plans is her fault. With Nicolette heartbroken, Krista and Leo do what they can to pick up the pieces with Addison, assuring her that she is not to blame and is still welcome to stay with them. Despite this setback, Krista and Leo are determined to seriously consider whether fostering is the best path for them.

- Karl investigates the mystery ‘Jonesy’ lead
Karl prepares to participate in a big development meeting regarding the new freeway (right through Ramsay Street – whatever will the Neighbours say?) when he meets the developer in charge of the project: Sam Kratz. The pair debrief following the meeting, where Sam outlines the billion-dollar scale of the project, throwing out a few names involved. Karl privately files away the mention of Jonah Jackson. Could this hot-shot developer be the Jonesy?
Karl thinks he’s onto something regarding the identity of the mysterious Jonesy after coming across a man named Jonah Jackson who is involved in the freeway project development. But given the state of affairs at present for the Kennedys, Karl decides to let the trail go cold for the time being.
Karl offers his findings about Jonesy to Elle, who is reluctant to stir up potential trouble. Karl leaves her with the info, telling her she can follow the lead or not. It’s up to her.

- Holly, Susan and Izzy navigate difficult truths
Karl and Susan continue to support Holly through her pregnancy, but it quickly becomes clear that Karl only wants to blame Andrew for the situation. When faced with Andrew in the street, Karl lashes out and gets physical with Andrew, appalled by the comparison being made with him, something Susan isn’t quick to comment on. Despite Karl’s objections, Susan’s silence speaks volumes. The Izzy wound is resurfacing, and she goes to Terese and Jane for support.
Meanwhile, knowing what it’s like to be in Wendy’s shoes, Susan offers her understanding to Wendy, who breaks down in front of her, overwhelmed by the idea of Andrew having a child with another woman.
Holly makes a feeble attempt to share the news with Izzy, hoping she can go to stay with her mother when the baby comes. Getting an unsurprisingly flakey response from her mother, a distraught Holly tells Susan about Sadie’s ultimatum, prompting Susan to wonder if Wendy is across Sadie’s movements. With Izzy being the hot topic, Karl, Holly and Susan get the chance to clear the air, and Susan gets the chance to finally be honest with Holly, admitting that while she’ll always be supportive, she’s incredibly disappointed in her.
Later, Holly touches base with Andrew knowing she’ll have to decide how involved he is going forward, and shares the baby ultrasound images with him. This is all he ever wanted, but can it be enough when it’s not with the right person?

- Wendy, Andrew, Sadie and Max deal with escalating tensions
Taye continues to fend off Monica, who wants to get her money back between the sheets. Devastated over Holly, Max offers to sort out the Monica issue, offering himself to her as a replacement. While it quickly becomes clear that neither Monica nor Max could go through with it, their conversation leads Monica to letting Taye off the hook, resorting to a payment plan. With the situation weighing heavily on him, Taye tells Sadie about everything, feeling very lucky that she harbours no resentment over Taye not telling her immediately.
Sadie comes home to find Wendy staring at photos of herself and Andrew around the house. While Sadie tries hard to push Andrew as the lesser of two evils, Wendy makes Sadie see that Andrew is equally to blame here, no matter who started it. At a breaking point, Wendy begins removing the photos of her and Andrew from around the house, then finds herself on his doorstep. To Andrew’s shock, Wendy offers her blessing. If he loves Holly and thinks they can make it work, he should be with her and the baby.
Holly opens up to Susan about how the affair began, making for a hard but meaningful conversation as Holly reveals she genuinely believed she and Andrew were going to be together. She later plucks up the courage to talk to Wendy about her supposed blessing, offering a long and heartfelt apology, leaving Wendy unphased. A convincing Wendy tells Holly to keep the door open on Andrew, but little do Andrew and Holly know Wendy’s attitude isn’t all it seems.
At Shane Ramsay’s request, Paul checks up on Max, who still has the rocking horse he tried to give Holly when he thought he was the father of her baby. Despite his best efforts, he’s struggled to part with it. To put a line under his part in the story, he offers the rocking horse to Holly, making it clear that the gesture doesn’t equal forgiveness, but it does give him some semblance of peace.
