Emmerdale this week sees April face danger after drugs arrest, Liam is blackmailed and for Kev – What Becomes of the Brokenhearted?

In the police interview room, April makes a difficult phone call as she tells someone she needs their help. Later, in the Café, Celia’s annoyed to hear that April’s been arrested, giving a warning to Ray. Meanwhile, Bob arrives at the police station as terrified April protests that the police have made a mistake. In the Woolpack, Dylan’s concerned to realise that no-one’s heard from April.
Meanwhile, at the police station, April is interviewed about drugs found and stonewalls the officer’s questions. When DS Clarke asks if she’s being exploited, April looks vulnerable as she contemplates confessing all. Bob’s unsettled by the April he saw in the police interview. He’s left in a dilemma as April threatens to never speak to him again if he doesn’t keep her arrest a secret from Marlon. Arriving back in the village with weary Bob, April finds Ray and Celia waiting for her. After April apologetically updates them on the police interview, Celia tells Ray that April’s life depends on the outcome of the police’s inquiries.
In Dale View, Kammy plans a housewarming party. Lewis, despite his anxiety, agrees to the party.
At Mill Flat, it’s hard for Robert to hear how broken-hearted Kev is to have lost him. Meanwhile, on Main Street, Kev seems obsessed with getting back together and continues to manipulate Liam into keeping his secret about his heart condition. Robert finds Kev in the Café, preparing to fight Mack over some spilled coffee. He manages to steer a struggling Kev out of the door before the situation explodes. Chatting to Robert, Kev seems like his impending death is the best way to keep Robert close. Back at Mill Flat, Robert’s feeling guilty about abandoning Kev in the latter months and is grateful for Aaron’s support when he reveals he’s agreed to nurse Kev when the end comes.

April lies about her absence from Ivy’s birthday to her dad. When Bob tells her that he feels it’s his duty to come clean to Marlon, Celia steps in and assures him April’s arrest is minor but covers her frustration when Bob’s determined to tell Marlon. When alone with Celia, April’s shaken when she warns her she’s used up her last chance.
As the party gets into full swing at Dale View, Lewis tries to keep calm by manning the drinks station. When the other revellers adjourn to the pub, overwhelmed Lewis stays to start the tidy up. An unhappy Kev returns in search of his jacket and we see a friendship blossom.
Kev commits to going to the housewarming party meanwhile, Aaron persuades Robert to come along to the party and promises to keep their rekindled love on the down low. As the party gets going, Robert and Aaron are stunned when Kev walks up half-cut and decides to do drunken karaoke. With embarrassing himself, Kev feels rejected and leaves. When Robert checks on Kev, he finds himself promising to be there for him when the end comes and Kev’s delighted.
Charity continues to fume at Ross’ burgeoning friendship with Mack, despite Ross being in Liverpool with his brother. Pete. When Liam remarks on this “sweet” bromance, Charity seizes on this and railroads Liam into starting a friendship with Mackenzie, hoping that he might be a best mate replacement for Ross.

Liam and Chas both have different secrets but as they go to confide in each other, they opt to keep them to themselves.
Lewis stays upbeat.

Lewis is stressed by his overwhelming workload but manages to conceal his emotions until alone where his mask falls. When overwhelmed by the queue of customers, Lewis abandons his work and tries to make it home without succumbing to a panic attack. When Nicola calls round to check on him, will Lewis open up?
Charity’s plan fails when Liam and Mackenzie fall out during a gaming session and Liam insists to Charity a non-starter. But Charity finds out information about Liam and blackmails him into giving the friendship another try.
Bear anxiously tends to Anya, whose fever worsens. Ray orders Bear back to work but promises antibiotics. Meanwhile, Ray charms Laurel at Mulberry, until Celia’s call interrupts their intimacy. Returning to the farm, Ray, overcome with guilt at Anya’s worsening state and the news she has a daughter, allows Bear to stay with her as she drifts in and out of consciousness.
