With 2026 – and THAT crossover unleashing what can only be described as hell on earth, Emmerdale is starting the new year with enough chaos to last them a lifetime.

We’ve got it all going on in the village this week with the sudden appearance of a lifeless body and if things don’t improve more could follow. Robert’s got his gun trained on John – that is until Aaron knocks Robert unconscious.

The not-so-small matter of Charity’s lie when she becomes aware that Mack knows and she’s in a dangerous situation with him behind the wheel of a car…

After the catastrophic events of Corriedale, there is ‘complete carnage’ the local hospital is busy, but this is Emmerdale when is it not, and the revelations keep coming over what happened and why.

A loved character is in potential mortal danger whilst another makes a confession not knowing everything they just did has been caught on video.

There is also a betrayal and a deal, but the who and why is being kept under wraps for now.

Elsewhere this week, the truth is out about Ray and Celia’s operation but where are they?

Bear is still missing and in the aftermath of the car crash chaos, Moira is hit with more shocks when when Ross arrives and tells her all about Ray and Celia’s crimes.

Also, Robert is confirmed safe in the episodes that follow Corriedale as new spoilers reveal how Kim Tate spells out the impact of what it means that Celia has been running her empire from their farm and the penny drops how serious this is.

There’s also trouble ahead as Jai heads towards a van ready to go on a haulage run to Manchester. When Caleb tells him there’s nothing that can’t wait until tomorrow, the van is left behind, nobody aware of the body lying inside.
