As a beautiful day begins in the village of Emmerdale, a tranquil scene quickly turns ominous with the sudden appearance of a lifeless body being dragged away by an unseen assailant.
Inside Aaron and Robert’s flat, John remains bound and gagged, the gun still aimed at him. Unexpectedly, Aaron knocks Robert unconscious, and John dares to believe his hope for a life with Aaron away from Emmerdale is coming true.. As they prepare to flee, Robert is still out cold. Aaron confirms his intentions with a passionate kiss, reassuring John that all is well. However, outside by the car as Aaron draws John into a hug, he seizes the gun. John desperately tries to retrieve it and there is a struggle but Aaron gains control, ordering him at gunpoint to drive to the police station.
After their departure, Robert regains consciousness, staggering out of the flat in a panic, desperate to salvage the situation. He pleads with Joe Tate for help, emphasizing the need to save Aaron from John. Meanwhile, Aaron keeps the gun trained on John as he drives, but with John still in control of the car, the situation threatens to spiral. Joe finally agrees to help, but can they catch up in time? Soon, John presses hard on the accelerator, and in a last-ditch effort, Aaron grabs the steering wheel, causing John to lunge for the gun, and their car veers dangerously out of control…
As the magnitude of Charity’s betrayal starts to sink in for Mackenzie, a simmering rage has built within him. He manages to hide his feelings as he persuades Charity to get into his car. As their journey continues, Charity is soon aware that Mack knows about her lies and she’s in a dangerous situation. When Mack asks her straight up if it’s his baby, it seems like Charity is caught.
Charity finally concedes the baby might not be Sarah’s, and Mackenzie is utterly heartbroken at the scale of her lies, and the fact she would have let her granddaughter raise a baby that wasn’t hers. He urges they are heading to to the airport to tell Sarah who is departing for her honeymoon the truth. When he thinks he’s spotted the car that Jacob and Sarah’s car are in up ahead, he plunges the accelerator towards the floor…
Laurel looks panicked and guilty as she furtively stashes something in a drawer.. Meanwhile a furtive Rhona is making a secret call and Marlon looks guilty as he pings off a text. Both worried as they’ve not yet found April but clearly looking guilty about something.
Outside the vets we see Ross pulling up in his vehicle with a dishevelled April and it’s clear they too share a story. When April enters the house Marlon is overwhelmed with joy. Whilst worried Rhona asks if further repercussions from Ray or Celia are likely but April’s answer is noncommittal.
Chaos follows in Corriedale…
