An emotional Carl confesses he was the driver after all, and staged it to make Debbie look guilty. Debbie admits she knew all along, but insists he let her go to prison to protect him.

CARL DETERMINES TO DO THE RIGHT THING Overhearing a tearful Summer telling Nina how she misses Billy and if Debbie hadn’t been drink driving, he’d still be alive, Carl is consumed with guilt. As Ronnie tells Carl if they send Debbie to prison, it will speed up her dementia, Carl resolves to put things right. 

DEBBIE GIVES THE MOTHER OF ALL CONFESSIONS Ronnie’s worried sick when Debbie accidently calls him Ray. Ronnie tells Carl his worries about Debbie, but after having a strange conversation, he fills Debbie in and she dashes out. When Carl tearfully admits that he was the one driving the car, Debbie reveals she’s always known but wants to protect him. When Debbie reveals the mother of all secrets. How will Carl react? 

KEVIN’S A MAN ON THE EDGE When Kevin pulls a dirty mug out of the sink with ‘World’s Best Dad’ on it, he’s overcome with guilt. Bryan calls at the garage asking Kevin to look at his clutch to an uninterested Kevin, but when Bryan points out that the roof is leaking, Kevin snaps. Lobbing an empty bottle of Vodka, narrowly missing Bryan, he rushes to the factory to get help. Bryan, Sally and Tim do their best to persuade Kevin down from the garage roof, Kevin refuses to budge. Abi climbs up and joins Kevin on the roof, will Abi be able to help?
