As the police visits and talks to various residents, Laurie continues lying and explains how desperate Sinead is for attention.
Will Laurie manage to talk his way out of a prison sentence…?
In an interview with Stephanie Davis, she answered
How was it filming the rape and confession scenes?
George C Siougas the director was fantastic because he gave me the freedom to do it how I wanted to. I’m hoping when people watch it, it won’t feel like they’re watching a drama, it will feel like they’re watching real life.
How did you react when you found out you were shortlisted as Best Actress at the British Soap Awards?
I couldn’t believe it. Bryan Kirkwood [Executive Producer of Hollyoaks] called me, and I was in work at the time. I went in the toilet and screamed the place down. I was made up. I couldn’t believe it. It took a few days for it to sink in.
Who was the first person you told?
Owen [Warner, who plays Romeo] was the first person I told. He was on set and I was trying to get to him so I waited for him to finish his scene. I can’t believe I did it to him but I told him I didn’t get shortlisted and he looked like he was going to cry for me. He was so gutted I realised I probably shouldn’t have said that, so I told him I was joking. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and ran around the green room with me. He was made up it was like he got shortlisted too.
Hollyoaks air these scenes next week with a special episode on Tuesday 21st May on E4 and Wednesday 22nd May on Channel 4
