Year of the Rabbit review: Episode One

Sweary, crude and totally funny from start to finish as we follow DI Rabbit (Matt Berry) and new partner Strauss (Freddie Fox) in Victorian London as they hunt down a killer after a series of bloody murders.

It certainly didn’t disappoint and with a plethora of swear words throughout this most certainly isn’t the average family drama yet touches on the important topic of females in the police force. Wanting to join the ranks and become a female copper or ‘Fopper’ is Mabel played by the ever brilliant Susan Wokoma.

We follow them from place to place including an erotic cabaret as they try to track the killer…

(Picture: Channel 4) Alun Armstrong stars and is a joy to watch as a UN-PC PC

This is certainly a series I’ll be turning into the next episode of, will you?
