River City spoilers: Monday 6th January 2020

This week in Shieldinch… Bob is torn between fixing his family or taking care of business, AJ tries to make up for being away from home, and Stevie and Poppy finally face up to their real feelings.

Bob wakes up cold and alone in his garage, stung to see Angus with Mackenzie. His hopes are briefly lifted when Angus promises to speak to Kim about him seeing his son.

Just when he didn’t think his day could get any worse, his new business venture with Rory casts another shadow. Lou tells him there’s a delivery coming to the garage, and Bob is furious to discover that it’s a stash of guns and bullets.

Later, when Angus uncovers Bob’s dodgy dealings, it leads to a showdown between the friends. When Kim discovers how deep Bob is in with gangster Rory, it looks as though his family is fractured beyond repair.

Desperate, Bob takes drastic measures to right his wrongs, but in doing so makes himself an enemy of Rory.

Elsewhere, Ellie is overjoyed to have AJ back, but he feels guilty about missing so much while he’s been away. AJ is accosted by Suzie, aggrieved he abandoned his responsibility as their local councillor. As AJ tries to make good again he realises he will have to make a choice about where his loyalties lie.

Madonna makes a vlog of Stevie and Poppy’s relationship. Stevie unexpectedly makes an emotional admission which stuns Poppy – all caught on camera thanks to an enterprising Madonna.
