Emmerdale spoilers: Monday 25th – Friday 29th May 2020

Monday’s episode picks up straight off the back of the previous Friday..

GUILTY HARRIET IS IN TOO DEEP. Harriet is standing there speechless (Will has just proposed).. As Will bares his soul to Harriet, she buries her guilt (re her daliance with Malone) and accepts. Soon Dawn’s surprised at the news, while Harriet rejects a call from Malone, determined to bury her feelings. Later Will is full of the joys of spring – wanting the village to join them for a celebratory engagement drink. Harriet tries to deflect attention by making it a joint party with Moira. She can’t help feeling like a fraud as her friends assume a solid relationship with Will.

LEYLA AND LIAM ON THE ROCKS? Leanna is fuming (having literally just been slapped across the face by Leyla). Soon Leanna is making things up with her father at last they both reach out to one another but what does this mean for Leyla and Liam’s relationship?

MANDY WARNS OFF PAUL. Vinny chats to new friend ‘Alex’ at the Dingles but a careless comment from Paul suggests he already knows Mandy. Vinny is confused and queries and Paul does his best to cover. As Paul leaves, Mandy spots him and hides so she is not seen. She’s seething Paul’s getting closer to Vinny. Later she secretly sets up a meeting with Paul from Vinny’s phone determined to resolve matters. The next day Paul is surprised to see Mandy rather than Vinny. Soon they are at each other’s throats as she implores him to stay away. Later, Paul barges into the Dingles’ to talk to Mandy, but their hearts sink when Vinny walks in. Despite Mandy’s attempts to cover, Paul reveals to a stunned Vinny he’s his dad. Vinny reels, appalled to discover the extent of the lies and storms away, the Dingles search in vain for Vinny, a frantic Mandy worries she’s lost him for good.

ANDREA WANTS TO FIGHT FOR HER MAN. Andrea and Jamie return from their holiday. Belle refuses to talk to Jamie, pointing out his false promises to divorce. But she’s taken aback when he reveals he’s hired a solicitor to initiate the proceedings. Belle opens up to Jamie about her past relationship with Jermaine but Jamie promises he’s serious about their future together. Later Andrea sees Jamie’s lap top and realises the affair is still going on. Before long Jamie tells Andrea he’s spending the night at a conference, but she knows he’s lying.. Soon a tearful Andrea tells Leyla that Jamie’s still seeing Belle. Leyla’s advice is to bin him, but Andrea doesn’t think she can. Later, with matters worse, Andrea vows to get revenge on Jamie and recruits Leyla to help her…

ALSO: Al and Priya resolve to rise above things and focus on each other. It’s Moira’s birthday and she feels stung when Cain upsets her whilst giving her a card from the boys. Moira takes her annoyance out on poor Rhona. When it’s clear Wendy wants to have another chance with Bob, Manpreet suggests she writes him a letter. Amelia struggles to see Brenda carrying on as normal.
