David’s world came crashing down tonight in Coronation Street (11th September) when a large sinkhole unexpectedly opened up in his back garden much to the bewilderment of Sarah, Shona and even Nina.
Acting the good samaritan Ray kindly offered to put them all up in one of his hotels, but not before Sarah told him to ‘stuff that’ for his treatment of Bethany. An excited Shona was happy to stay in a 5* hotel – but that may just be for the hot tubs she loves.
However, it appears things were not as simple as first planned when later scenes revealed Colin (the engineer from the water company) with Ray and how it was all a set up that had in Ray’s words “not been as clean as he had liked.”
With Ray plotting against David it remains to be seen if scenes airing next week will have David sell his deathtrap of a house to the man responsible for it.
