Karen and Rob reassure Tom and Ella after a crisis at school but the kids are keeping something from them.
A cryptic story from a homeless man leads Jimmi to suspect that a senior figure at the police station is corrupt.
During his FME shift, Jimmi examines Alfie Baker, a homeless man who’s been brought in. He notices that Alfie had bruises all over his body and Alfie admits to Jimmi that he was attacked after witnessing a shady exchange in a car park.
Karen gets a call from Tom’s school and rushes to pick him up. When they get home, Tom explains that another student was pretending to be his father, so he hit her. Karen tries to talk to him, but Tom throws his bag at her and Karen is shaken by his aggression towards her. Rob decides to step in and take Tom fishing.
