Liv’s excited when Vinny tells her that he has a friend of a friend in Daventry who’s a registrar and willing to bend the rules slightly. With Mandy still in the dark about their engagement, they joke about what she’d do to them if she found out after they got married.
Marlon spots the news of Pierce’s death in the Hotton Courier and readies himself to break the news to Rhona. Later at the Hide, Rhona and Vanessa tell Paddy and Marlon that they already knew about Pierce’s death. Rhona’s uneasy about telling Marlon the full story which includes Pierce’s son Marcus.
At the Allotment, Liam reveals to Cain that he intentionally pushed Meena off the bridge but is taken aback by Cain’s lack of reaction. Liam fears that Meena’ll get away but unbeknownst to him and Cain, in turning over the soil, they’ve unearthed the trinket box. Cain hugs Liam, giving him a much needed moment of cathartic support. When Leyla arrives she spots the trinket box half buried in the soil. Neither she nor Liam understand it’s vital importance but will they work it out when they manage to jimmy it open?
