I mean, haha Vanity fans, what a week. There was a food fight, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) sacked Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and then nearly kissed Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick). At the end of the week, Charity said she wouldn’t give up on them.
Next week with Mackenzie trying to work his way back into Charity’s good grace he is thinking over Vanessa’s advice and decides to prepare a grand gesture of commitment to win back Charity. Meanwhile, Vanessa continues to downplay their kiss but Charity finds a glimmer of hope.
With Charity having Vanessa on her mind she is blindsided by Mackenzie who wants to move himself in.
When Charity is unable to commit to living with Mackenzie (yep don’t panic there is no proposal), Mackenzie takes the rejection to heart and threatens to leave the village and head back to Scotland. Charity however doesn’t take him serious until he leaves, almost running down Vanessa in the process.
Even Paddy notices tension between Vanessa and Charity the next day as the two struggle to keep their eyes off one another. Tuesday’s episode is basically Vanessa and Charity eyeing each other up across the Woolpack.
How much longer will Vanessa continue to deny her feelings?
Emmerdale airs these scenes from Monday March 14 at 7:30pm on ITV.
