Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) has been through it since arriving on the street 4 years ago. Her dad died, found out Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) was her biological father, got into a relationship with Curtis Delamere (Sam Retford) who said he was dying and ran over a man.

Learning the truth behind the crash and cover up caused a crisis of conscience for Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) and he left the police force – it has subsequently led him to resent girlfriend Faye Windass (Ellie Leach)

Next week having tried, badly, to hide her relationship with Jon Spear (Jordan Ford Silver), the grandson of the man she ran over, the truth comes out. As Jon shares his plans to open a beach bar in Australia Emma is stunned to realise she visited the same beach as a kid. She is shocked when Jon suggests she move to Australia with him.

As he leaves she tells him she will think about his idea but doesn’t say a word to Craig and Faye as they arrive home. But when Jon arrives back at the flat having forgotten his phone it looks like the cat’s out of the bag when Faye looks at him in shock – more importantly will Jon and Craig recognise each other?

Later, An excited Craig sets off for his first day back in the police force whilst back at the flat Emma and Faye are daggers drawn as Jon unexpectedly arrives. Jon demands answers and Faye blurts out that they are responsible for his grandad’s death – is this the end of the road for Faye and Emma?

‘And I think, for me being on Corrie was always a career goal, I really wanted to do so, the fact that I was lucky enough to have the opportunity, and i’m forever grateful for that’ says Emma at a recent Zoom event.

‘I know it’s right for me, but I can see so easily how people stay there for 20 to 60 years because it’s just such an amazing place to work’.

Your final scene that you filmed was your exit scene what was that like?

‘As soon as the Ad said that’s that’s Alexander’s last scene, I just burst into tears and could not stop what’s wrong with me. And I think because of all the support of the cast and crew at that moment as well coming to say goodbye to you just really overwhelmed me and yeah it was very sad, very sad to say goodbye’.

Will it be a happy ending? (Picture: ITV)
