In episodes of Emmerdale airing next week, tensions run high as Arthur takes it upon himself to mend the broken relationship between Rishi and Jai before the much-anticipated wedding. Sadly, Arthur’s heartfelt efforts prove futile, leaving Rishi in a state of despair.
The atmosphere becomes even more charged when a taxi unexpectedly arrives at Mulberry, and to Jai’s astonishment, his mother, Georgia, steps out. Jai’s initial shock quickly turns to anger, demanding that his mother go back home. Laurel, desperate to reconcile the family before her big day, pleads with Jai to resolve their issues. However, Jai’s emotions and decisions remain a mystery.
Later, in a drunken stupor, Rishi stumbles upon Georgia while on his way to confront Jai. Much to Laurel’s horror, Rishi unleashes a hurtful comment about her past abortion. The situation quickly spirals out of control, causing Georgia to explode in fury at Rishi’s intoxicated outburst.
The following day, Jai is taken aback as a radiant Laurel descends the stairs in her stunning wedding dress. Their joy, however, is dampened by the unexpected arrival of Rishi and Georgia. Jai is left reeling when Rishi reveals the identity of his true father. Confused and restless, Jai struggles to comprehend this shocking revelation, while Rishi becomes defensive.
Tensions reach a boiling point between Georgia, Jai, and Rishi, resulting in a heated argument that pushes Rishi to storm out. Frustrated by the situation, Jai assures Georgia that he wants her to attend the wedding. Eventually, he relents and allows Rishi to be present as well.
Inside the church, Georgia leaves a heartfelt message for Rishi, desperately urging him to come to the wedding. The question remains: will Rishi heed her plea? Meanwhile, at Holdgate, Rishi, despite feeling hurt and angry, listens to Georgia’s message.
As the ceremony commences, Georgia wonders where Rishi could be. Jai and Laurel exchange their vows and are pronounced married, eliciting applause from the attendees. However, amidst the joyous moment, Jai deeply regrets Rishi’s absence on such an important day in his life. The absence of his father casts a long shadow over their union, leaving Jai with a heavy heart.
