Lou informs Carla and Stephen about the police looking into a missing watch and tie pin. Stephen steals Lou’s hotel key, overhears Peter admitting to pawning the watch, and sneaks into Lou’s room. He panics when he hears someone at the bedroom door.
Shona gives Lauren advice on dealing with difficult customers. Lauren proves a customer wrong when accused of short-changing, impressing Shona. Lauren misreads Max’s signals and tries to kiss him, but he pulls away. Embarrassed, she storms out and contemplates resigning.
Chesney gifts Gemma a notebook and pen for her first day at work. Gemma attends a board meeting at Newton & Ridley, where Philip shows disapproval. She later visits the Rovers and admits it’s been a tough day.
Glenda finds out that a Tai-Chi event clashes with the Little Big Shotz Summer Spectacular. Hope suggests talking to Maria, who proposes holding the show at the bistro.
