Victor conspires with Mairead to have the buggy delivered to Phelans, but their secrecy makes Babs suspicious. Babs’ suspicions are only compounded when she thinks Leo is covering for Victor. Babs fears the worst when she sees Victor and Mairead drive off together. Babs accuses Victor and Mairead of infidelity. Babs’ lack of trust causes Victor to question the future of their relationship.
Carol lies to Gwen that Gardaí have a lead on her stolen diamond. Carol warns Gwen that Zak will throw her under the bus to save himself. Gwen confides in Anna about the kidnapping. Gwen puts on a brave face but is intimidated by James. James threatens to take both Zak and Gwen down if he gets caught. Tommy urges Zak to distance himself from James. Zak tells Gwen to stay clear of James, but she’s beginning to feel trapped.
Dearbhla guilts Dermot about the negative impact his presence will have on Joan. Paul takes his anger at Dermot out on Zoe. Dermot tells Zoe that he’s using Dearbhla’s rent money to move away and give her a fresh start. Joan tries to be optimistic about Gar’s recovery.
