Now Dex is aware of JJ’s quest to find his mystery sperm-donor father, Dex is panicking about the trouble it could cause. He attempts to talk to JJ out of the plan, listing all the dangers and potential disastrous outcomes, including what it could do to their mums’ relationship. We’re left uncertain as to whether JJ will take his brother’s fears on board and pull back… Until he finds the opportunity to snoop through the Rodwell’s house – there’s no way he’s stopping now.
Anxious to talk Cara out of building a new house, Remi finally reveals her doubts – but also presents a new plan: they could buy Toadie’s charming house instead. Cara is initially surprised and cautious, but after touring the house she admits she’s open to it being a discussion.
Reece decides to reinstate Holly’s job, hoping it will please Byron, and it does. He’s warming up to her again and they have a conversation which puts to bed any of his lingering fears that she was playing games with him before. The spark is reignited and it’s finally back on – meaning Paul will have to put up with Reece’s oversight longer than he bargained.
Mackenzie is devastated her feelings for Haz are clearly not reciprocated, but also relieved she didn’t spill her heart to him. Sadie accidentally drops a hint to Haz that Mackenzie might have taken his hook-up badly, but Mackenzie works overtime to assure him it’s not the case.
