As Coronation Street kicks off a huge week of drama on the cobbles from tomorrow (Monday 9 October) on ITV1, it remains to be seen just how Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) will depart the show after as his crimes slowly come to light.

Nobody is safe, as Tim (Joe Duttine) comes face to face with killer Stephen and could end up paying the ultimate price for crossing him, Peter (Chris Gascoyne) takes action after Carla remains convinced Stephen is the one who spiked her with LSD, and Michael (Ryan Russell) is tricked into transferring the full balance of the Underworld’s account into a bogus one.

Elsewhere, Audrey is shocked to discover that her precious first born has stolen her house from under her nose she seeks him out determined to know why he betrayed her so cruelly.

It isn’t all doom and gloom behind the scenes as Eastieoaks.com caught up with Carla Barlow actress Alison King who spoke very highly of her departing co-star.

At a press event, Alison explained, “I like the way they’ve twisted this so Carla isn’t sure if it could be Rufus, Stephen, or even Sarah who has been drugging her. But she’s been onto Stephen from the start. The realization that it was him isn’t shocking, but it’s so damning, so hurtful and so premeditated by him that he has no excuses.”
