Harper rails at Dana after she returns from the beach – has she forgotten there’s a warrant out for her arrest?! Dana’s sick of having to hide out at Irene’s and feels like it’s going on forever. Cash meets Madden at work and addresses some of his concerns around Dana’s case, but has he inadvertently appeared too invested in a case he wasn’t assigned to? Madden wastes no time after their meeting to give the order – “Get me everything you can on Senior Constable Cash Newman”.
Eden and Felicity discuss the bombshell that her attacker wants to meet her. Eden thinks he’s delusional if he wants forgiveness, but Felicity appears to take pause – getting that phone call brought a lot of stuff back up. They tell Cash, who’s familiar with the Restorative Justice program, and in stark contrast to Eden, he thinks it could help his sister. When Felicity admits she isn’t sure what to do, Cash offers to connect her with a social worker, and soon he’s on the phone to Harper.
Harper gives Felicity a sympathetic ear and explains how the program works – it can be cathartic, and Harper’s seen it work for victims. But the program isn’t for everyone – “It’s a lot to get your head around”, she warns Felicity. After their chat, Cash updates Harper on the Dana case – did she know about the eyewitness who places Dana at the hospital? Cash urges Harper, he really needs to speak to Dana. Knowing she is harbouring her sister illegally, Harper denies having spoken to her. After a thinly veiled threat from Madden later, Cash turns up at Irene’s, where he’s shocked to find both sisters together. He’s stunned – “Care to explain?”
