Fergal’s attempt to connect with other people blows up in his face, but Dean let’s slip some crucial information to Vicky. Hayley assuages James’s suspicions and gets him onside. Hughie has plans for the Hungry Pig, but Bob and Paul aren’t impressed. Greg plays matchmaker, with mixed results.
Bosco fills Paul in on the rumours of Hughie’s tiff with Melanie. An assertive Hughie purchases a new car. Bosco is surprised when Hughie reveals he is funding a rival promotion at The Hungry Pig to undercut Paul. Hughie is unapologetic when Paul slams his cutthroat tactics. Bob is taken aback to learn about Hughie’s marketing strategy and his vendetta against Paul.
James is suspicious of Anto and Hayley’s conversation the night prior. Hayley updates Anto on her plan to use the apartment raffle to snare James. Hayley flatters James into agreeing to be the face of the raffle promotion and boosts him up for a local radio interview.
Dean worries when he hasn’t heard from Vicky in a while. Dearbhla commiserates with exhausted new mum Jess. Greg sets his matchmaking plan in motion when he gives Juliet’s number to Steo. Fergal continues to wallow in his bedroom, much to Jacinta’s annoyance. After more of Jacinta’s goading, Fergal arranges for “Vicky” to meet Dean for a drink. Juliet’s snooty response to Steo’s flirting prompts him to insult her.
