As DS Lisa Swain intensifies her investigation, Roy becomes a target of online trolls and wild speculation. Matters worsen when a woman posing as Lauren’s mother confronts Roy at the cafe, resulting in a confrontation and a tragic accident.

In the upcoming episode airing on April 12th, viewers will see Roy subjected to relentless questioning by Swain, who remains convinced of his guilt. Despite his innocence, Roy finds himself behind bars, shocked and betrayed.

Actor David Neilson reflects on the storyline, highlighting Roy’s innocence and vulnerability. “Roy never expected it would come to this,” Neilson says. “He thought honesty would prevail, but he underestimated the prejudice against him, dredging up past suspicions and mistakes.”

With Roy’s future uncertain, his friends and family rally to uncover the truth about Lauren’s disappearance. But with no leads and Roy branded as the prime suspect, can they save him from a fate he doesn’t deserve?

Neilson adds depth to the character’s journey, noting how the storyline revisits Roy’s early days in Weatherfield, echoing past suspicions and challenges. “It’s fascinating to see how Roy’s history is used against him,” Neilson remarks.
