Get ready for drama on the cobbles as a legendary West End actress is set to return to Coronation Street!
The soap has signed up none other than Ruthie Henshall to reprise her role as the iconic Estelle Harrington.
Henshall’s character was last seen on our screens a year ago, and her return is sure to cause mischief in Weatherfield. Estelle is about to be caught up in some trouble, as Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) sets her sights on buying the Little Big Shotz business off Estelle.
This is bound to cause friction, and we can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.
Henshall has previously spoken about her love for Coronation Street, and how much she enjoys the challenge of working on a soap opera. She’s also admitted that she’s hoping her character will be involved in some “messy storylines” – and with her return set to cause chaos, it looks like she’s about to get her wish!
Coronation Street airs at 8pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with these scenes to air next week on ITV1
