Kellie Bright has revealed Linda faces a new wave of torment in EastEnders next week as the fallout from Keanu’s death continues.

Speaking ahead of next weeks scenes, Bright explained how Linda is struggling to cope in the lead up to Father’s Day, which is a painful reminder of her late husband Mick.

“She’s still got a very young son who remembers his dad,” said Bright. “Everything for her is too painful at the minute so she just wants to shut it away.”

Linda’s fragile state is further shattered when Bernie arrives with a bombshell – Keanu’s funeral is happening later that week and she’s requested to host the wake at The Vic.

“It is her worst nightmare,” said Bright. “She’s worrying about how she’s going to get through the day. I think there is always something in her mind about Christmas – it’s a never ending nightmare.”

Linda’s guilt over killing Keanu is ever-present and she turns to alcohol to numb the pain.

“She just wants to get away from Johnny so she can drink more,” said Bright.

Sharon eventually finds Linda in a state and convinces her to go to an AA meeting.

“I think Linda feels that she owes Sharon, and will always owe Sharon something,” explained Bright. “She would do things for Sharon that she wouldn’t do for herself, even.”

But can Linda keep her secret much longer?

“She has to. If Linda falls, all of the other women fall with her,” said Bright. “I honestly don’t think that Linda will ever truly find peace for killing Keanu whilst it remains a secret…”

Linda’s fight to stay strong continues next week in EastEnders – will she be able to hold it together?
