Matty’s world is turned upside down when Samson Dingle accuses him of trying to stab him. The accusations come after Matty attempts to pressure Samson into confessing about the stabbing. Despite Matty’s hope that he’d gotten through to Samson, things take a drastic turn when the police arrest Matty.
Meanwhile, Cain Dingle is furious with Samson and vows to stand by Matty. As tensions rise in the Woolpack, the news of Matty being remanded throws the village into chaos. Lydia Dingle struggles to hold Sam back from Cain, and Amy fears for Matty’s safety. Matty is aware he’s in danger when, outside the court, PC Swirling suggests Matty remains quiet about being transgender in prison
