Sat in his cell, Matty is nervous as an officer informs him he’s leaving for court in an hour. Meanwhile, Moira is furious when Amy reveals Matty’s solicitor was on the phone and the police have dropped the robbery investigation due to lack of evidence. Samson starts to freak out when Cain informs the Woolpack that Matty is being kept on remand. Lydia has to pull Sam away from Cain as the tension erupts. Outside the court, a shell-shocked Matty is aware he’s in danger as the police officer suggests he remains quiet about being transgender in prison. Amy fears Matty is a sitting target as she watches him being bundled into a police van.

Tom is affronted as Cain lectures him for selling Belle’s car without consulting him. Paranoid Tom accuses Belle of mouthing off about the car and Tom interrogates a nervous Belle. As he raises his hand, fearful Belle blurts out that she’s pregnant. As the dust settles from Belle’s shocking revelation, Tom’s demeanour changes as he pulls her in for a hug. They both cry, but Belle’s tears are not tears of joy… Belle urges him to keep it between them for now. As the two of them take an afternoon stroll along River Walk with Piper, Belle is unsure whether to trust this new version of Tom as he promises to be a better husband…
