Next week in Coronation Street, emotions run high as Leanne Battersby reveals she’s paying for baby Rose’s funeral from her own savings. But, after the service, Leanne admits to Toyah that it was actually Rowan who covered the costs. The drama intensifies when Toyah angrily confronts Rowan at the funeral, leading to a passionate and secretive moment between Toyah and Nick. As they share a forbidden kiss, a mysterious figure watches them from the derelict builder’s yard.
Back in Weatherfield, Rowan pressures Toyah to sign a non-disclosure agreement, threatening to ruin Leanne’s happiness if she refuses. As Rowan gloats over Leanne’s promotion to level 5 at a Bistro meeting, Toyah and Nick are left reeling, disgusted by his manipulative tactics. In a surprising turn, Toyah receives news from the police that she will not face charges for burying her baby, lifting a tremendous weight from her shoulders.
Toyah and Nick may find united against a common enemy. “They’ve found something in common – their love for Leanne and the fear they’re losing her,” explains Georgia Taylor. “This situation has shifted Toyah’s view on Nick, especially after his support following the news about Rose.”
