Georgia Taylor has teased upcoming drama in Coronation Street as Toyah watches her sister Leanne become increasingly entangled with the controversial Weatherfield Institute.

“Toyah’s had a strong instinct from the beginning that something’s off with the institute,” Taylor reveals. “The change in Leanne’s behaviour has only confirmed her fears. Leanne’s become emotionally disconnected, pushing Toyah and Nick away which is completely out of character.”

Despite their past differences, Toyah and Nick may find themselves united against a common enemy. “They’ve found something in common – their love for Leanne and the fear they’re losing her,” explains Taylor. “This situation has shifted Toyah’s view on Nick, especially after his support following the news about Rose.”

Speaking of Rose, Toyah is left horrified when a bouquet of roses arrives – a clear message from the manipulative Rowan. “She’s furious,” says Taylor. “It feels like Rowan is exploiting her trauma.”

Leanne’s betrayal cuts even deeper. “Toyah feels massively betrayed, especially when Leanne initially denies confiding in Rowan,” shares Taylor. “Leanne’s blind faith in Rowan is frustrating for Toyah, who can’t believe her strong, independent sister has become so easily manipulated.”

As Toyah prepares for court, her feelings for Nick become increasingly complex. “It’s confusing for her,” admits Taylor. “Nick’s compassion is a new side to him, and Toyah doesn’t have anyone else to turn to. Leanne’s constant push away makes her rely on Nick more, blurring the lines a little.”

Despite this growing bond, guilt lingers for Toyah. “Leanne’s actions constantly push Toyah away, making her feel guilty for leaning on Nick,” explains Taylor. “It’s a very conflicting situation.”

Desperate for her sister’s support, Toyah is left devastated when Rowan intervenes to ensure Leanne is absent from her court date. “It’s sickening,” says Taylor. “No one seems to be listening to Toyah, and it’s exhausting for her.”

With the stress of the court case and Rose’s burial looming, Toyah yearns for vindication. “I can’t wait for the moment Rowan is exposed,” Taylor exclaims. “But Emrhys [Rowan’s actor] is fantastic! His character is so creepy and subversive – a delight to work with on set. However, his downfall needs to be dramatic and humiliating!”

Coronation Street continues at 8pm tomorrow on ITV1
