After Nicolette shows Vic around the vineyard, he fast starts to see Yorokobi as the business opportunity he’s been looking for. And with things going so poorly for Leo, Vic believes he might be open to the idea of a business partnership. While both Nicolette and Byron are initially dubious that Leo would be interested, Vic proves them wrong after floating the idea with Leo who offers to consider it. With all the pain the bottle poisoning has wrought, Leo’s beginning to see the benefit of having other people to shoulder the load. Later, Vic warns his kids not to communicate with Leo while they begin negotiations, which concerns Nicolette, Byron, and Jane. But Vic reminds them this investment is about their future and he’s not afraid to ruffle a few feathers to get the best deal possible.

The housemates of Number Thirty-Two are speechless when the new landlord makes it clear she’ll be using their pool regularly now that she ‘owns’ it – especially when she intimates that she isn’t afraid of finding the house new tenants if the current ones aren’t amenable to her regular visits. While the housemates struggle to deal with her constant presence, they attempt to devise a plan to extricate her, eventually settling on a charm offensive. But the immovable owner is so frustrating that Mackenzie loses her cool, forcefully demanding she leave as landlord/tenant rules mean she has no entitlement to the pool. Number Thirty-Two breathes a sigh of relief when she heads home – but not before she makes Mackenzie pay for her words. They’re all about to cop a rental increase.

A bright, bubbly, and rejuvenated Melanie is wrapping up her time on the road and spontaneously asks the helpful stranger Logan to assist her with her morning rush at the drinks van. As the two share stories from their travels around Australia, Melanie starts to see a kindred spirit in the young man. When Logan makes it known he’s looking to find somewhere to settle, Melanie encourages him to return to Erinsborough with her. An intrigued Logan accepts, but as he stares at the image of David on the side of the van, we’re left with the distinct feeling that there’s more to this stranger than he’s letting on…
