As Vic celebrates having the vineyard as a family business, Jane cautions him not to get ahead of himself. But Sam, Nic and Byron are also excited, mostly by the prospect of their first big event being Jane and Mike’s wedding. Vic notes Jane’s discomfort about this and later urges Jane not to fall into old patterns of ignoring her own needs; she needs to talk to Mike. Walls up, Jane assures everything is fine. After a checkup at the hospital where he submits to a radiology scan at Remi’s urging, Vic heads to the vineyard for a tour of Yorokobi. Leo is hopeful when Vic assures him he’s aware of Leo’s blameless run of bad luck and can view recent financial windfalls through a big-picture lens. Later, Nic and Byron tell Vic that they want him to put in an offer for Yorokobi, only to learn their dad has already done so. Although Vic is confident that they’ll be going into partnership, an incensed Leo tells Vic his low-ball offer is an insult. Vic counters that the only alternative for Leo is to lose his business altogether; he has two days to decide, then the offer is off the table.
Susan returns to work and hopes her accident may have scared the thieving teens straight, but resident Moira soon reports unauthorised purchases made on her credit card, she assumes by the troubled teens. JJ attempts to reset his friendship with Nell, but still feeling rejected, she responds minimally, focusing instead on Jasmine who shows off an expensive new jacket. Later, JJ’s ears prick up when he hears Moira mention the scammer bought from the same brand Jasmine was flaunting. Although Nell baulks at the implication that Jasmine is a thief, JJ believes the suspicious purchases are worth investigating. JJ lays out his suspicions to Jasmine, who denies it, and points out JJ has no hard proof. Terese, Susan, Karl, and Jane, unable to solve the crimes, realise their venture is again at risk.
A glowing Melanie arrives back in Erinsborough with new partner in crime, Logan. While he seems charming on the surface and impresses Karl and Susan at a welcome dinner (despite their earlier concerns about her picking up an itinerant stranger), Logan is oddly intent when he happens upon Aaron teaching Sam to dance at Lassiters. When Melanie introduces Aaron to Logan, he offers his sympathy for Aaron’s loss (having heard all about David from Melanie). When Logan suggests he and Melanie kick on after dinner, she invites Aaron to join them. As the night ends, Logan pulls out his phone and brings up a photo of himself, 10 years ago, with his arm around someone — David.
