Nicolette and Byron realise their father has left town and has no intention of investing in Leo’s business. While Nicolette is desperate to believe the best of Vic, Byron refuses to entertain any excuses. Feeling duped herself, Jane concurs with Byron’s scathing character assessment but is privately disappointed that Vic has left without saying goodbye to her either. However, Byron later thinks he might have an idea…
Elsewhere, Wendy is hungover after another wild night partying with her uni crew. As Andrew playfully ribs his wife and assumes her friends know she’s not in her 20s, Wendy doesn’t correct him. Meanwhile, when Cara rues her lack of IT skills, Aaron and Andrew suggest she could do a short course to upskill. Taking the advice, Cara researches courses at Eden Hills Uni, but quickly hides her screen when Wendy passes; it seems she’s keeping this a secret for now.
Meanwhile, as Remi meets Logan, she notes how familiar he is. While Logan denies knowing her, she can’t shake the feeling she’s met him before. However, when Logan meets Leo, he worries that he might be recognised again. At the same time, Melanie catches Logan flirting with Aaron and warns him off. Seeing how adamant Melanie is, Logan agrees to dial things down. Upon seeing Logan again, Remi recalls where she knows him from. A medical conference. Melanie is thrown to hear Logan was studying medicine, but Logan quickly asserts that he was only at the conference as part of the catering staff. The interaction leaves Melanie curious. Is Logan lying?
