Holly finds herself in a precarious situation, leaving Karl worried when she doesn’t answer her phone.
Wendy is out on the town trying to impress her new friends, including Quinn – a laid back and jovial student. A tipsy Wendy gets carried away, staying out way longer than she’d intended. The next morning she finds herself in a world of pain at work as she nurses the mother of all hangovers – much to the amusement of Cara and Sadie. Later that day, Quinn pops by to invite Wendy on another pub crawl, and after Aaron offers to cover her shift, she agrees. As she gets back to work, Quinn watches her go… it seems he may be interested in his new effervescent friend.
Leo seeks counsel from Terese over Vic’s lowball offer on Yorokobi. Terese agrees it’s a stinging offer, but encourages Leo to accept, but retain a controlling 51% interest. Over at the Harris house, Leo arrives to accept Vic’s offer – but only if he agrees to a 49% stake. Vic agrees and Byron and Nicolette are thrilled – they own a vineyard!
Later, Jane is moved by Vic’s selfless choice to invest in his children’s future. But swept up in the moment, Vic impulsively kisses her, and a shocked Jane rushes away to Terese to debrief. Meanwhile at his check-up, Remi reveals the results of Vic’s scan. An immunotherapy trial he was participating in in London has worked – his tumours have disappeared, and his cancer is in full remission.
