It’s the first shoot day for ‘All Our Tomorrows’ and Stevie hasn’t shown up on set. While Nelson is frantically searching for the star of his film, she knocks back the drinks at home in a full-blown crisis of confidence. Cash desperately tries to convince her to go to work, especially when he himself starts fielding calls from the director. Eventually, he gets through to her and she does show up for filming, albeit late. Immediately clocking that she’s drunk, Nelson is furious, sending her straight to makeup. He even issues a warning to Cash – this cannot happen again.
Harper and Dana unpack their subpoenas to give evidence against Tane. Dana’s not surprised to receive hers, given she let him into the hospital in the first place, but she never thought her sister could be dragged into it. Harper’s main concern is Tane, and she texts him immediately asking to talk. He’s with his lawyer though prepping their defence, and they have no credible witnesses, except for the baby’s mother. But Marshall reassures Tane, he’s won tougher cases than this. Harper finally catches up with Tane and breaks the news that she’ll be testifying against him. Tane knows she has no choice, but suggests they give each other some space. When he breaks the news to Marshall though, he’s pleased – this means he can cross-examine them, and potentially twist their words to their advantage…

Kirby is working at Mantaray Boards, and proudly boasts to Rose that she got a guy’s number during her first surf lesson. Mali can only watch as his new starter ditches work to go to lunch and leaves him with unfinished work when she does. Finally, she gossips loudly at work about Levi and Mackenzie’s relationship, something he’d already asked her not to do. When he finally does reprimand her, she is less than receptive, and it’s clear Mali is not happy with how things are progressing. Was hiring Kirby a terrible mistake?
