EastEnders fans are in for a shock this summer as Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) falls victim to a spiking incident at Peggy’s.

Initially dismissed as drunken behavior, Anna’s friends soon realize something is seriously wrong.
“It was imperative for us to work alongside organisations to accurately present, and sensitively portray this storyline,” said Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw.
In a groundbreaking move, EastEnders will release a five-part mini-series alongside the main episode, accessible via a QR code.
The mini-series will offer a unique perspective, showing the incident from both Anna’s and her friends’ viewpoints.
Fiona Campbell, BBC Controller Youth Audience, emphasized the importance of reaching wider audiences, especially those most affected by spiking.
EastEnders is collaborating with charities Stamp Out Spiking and WithYou to ensure the storyline’s accuracy and sensitivity.
Dawn Dines, CEO of Stamp Out Spiking, praised the show for raising awareness, stating, “Education is key to preventing these incidents.”
The episode airs on Tuesday, July 16th, with the mini-series available on EastEnders’ TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook channels.
