Dee Dee Bailey Faces Life-Changing Revelations About Joel

Eastieoaks.com spoke to Corrie star Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee-Dee Bailey, hints at major upheavals in the upcoming episodes, with the news that Lauren is alive it is only a matter of time before Dee-Dee’s world is to be turned upside down.

Talking about the dramatic twists, Channique shared, “It’ll be a world-changing revelation when she finds out the truth about Joel. So we’ll just have to see with that one for sure.”

The actress also teased the high-stakes drama surrounding Dee-Dee’s wedding plans. “There will be lots of drama, and the wedding planning is fully underway, so we’ll have to see what happens,” she said, expressing her hopes for Dee-Dee’s future.

Despite the ongoing drama, Channique expressed hope for a Coronation Street wedding. “Yeah, absolutely. Obviously to a nice guy, though.”

Reflecting on the show’s unpredictable nature, Sterling-Brown added, “I think it’s a very exciting storyline, and even though it’s probably not going to be a happily ever after, I do think it’s going to be a real moment for the character’s journey.”

Hinting at Joel’s dark side, she said, “I think in his warped mind he loves her so much, and he tries to separate these versions of himself. So I think it’s a bit scary to be loved that much, actually. A complete infatuation. And so it’ll be very interesting to see what he’s willing to do.”
