In a shocking twist, Lauren has been found, but with villainous Joel by her side. Coronation Street’s Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee-Dee, hints at the intense drama to come.

“There’s going to be a whole chapter where Joel is running around trying to keep all his secrets in check,” Sterling-Brown reveals. “It’s going to be quite interesting seeing how much time he’s got left.”

But will Dee-Dee turn to the dark side and become the one to take Joel down?

“I think Dee Dee will pursue justice when she knows the truth,” Sterling-Brown teases, “but when that will be, I do not know.”

Sterling-Brown also acknowledges the unique position Dee-Dee finds herself in as a solicitor: “If anyone can get away with, not a murder necessarily, but with a crime, a solicitor is a pretty good bet, isn’t it?”

With both Dee-Dee and Joel being solicitors, the stage is set for a lot of drama ahead. But as secrets unravel and tensions rise, will justice be served? Only time will tell.

Coronation Street continues Friday at 8pm on ITV1
