Ruxandra Porojnicu is back on the Cobbles, and she’s bringing plenty of drama with her! Speaking with Eastieoaks.com, The actress, who plays Alina Pop, couldn’t be more excited about her return to Coronation Street. “I love it, I love it. It’s so much fun. Everyone is lovely, cast and crew as well. So, yeah, I’m living the best time,” she gushed.
Porojnicu admits she hasn’t been keeping up with the show’s fast-paced storylines. “I’m not going to lie, not really. Because it’s so fast-paced and so intense that I think it’s hard to keep up. If you have to commit to it, it’s like a relationship, you know? Watching a soap, like Corrie, you have to commit to it,” she explained.
So, what brings Alina back to Weatherfield? “Well, she is back to Weatherfield because she’s a witness in a court trial against a trafficking gang. So, yeah, she’s doing that at the moment. She wants to obviously get it done and go back home as soon as possible. But, obviously, things are not going as smooth as she wants. And, yeah, some eventful events will happen,” Porojnicu revealed.
And what about the inevitable clash with Fiz? “Always, always on Coronation Street,” she hinted with a smile.
