Chaos erupts in Walford as Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) drinking spirals out of control, leaving her son Johnny (Charlie Suff) at his wit’s end. After an all-night bender, Johnny is desperate to help his mother but is unsure how to reach her. In a bid to ease his burden, Gina (Francesca Henry) steps in, promising to look after Linda.

However, things take a dramatic turn when Johnny returns to find Linda in a dire state, leading to a massive row between mother and son. The tension hits boiling point before Johnny storms out, needing time to cool off.

The situation takes a dark twist when Johnny comes back home to discover Linda in a life-threatening condition. Paramedics are rushed to The Vic, and Linda is quickly taken to the hospital.

At the hospital, a devastated Johnny lays the blame on Gina for his mother’s plight, demanding she leave their home. Struggling with the emotional fallout, Johnny finds comfort in Callum (Tony Clay), who offers a shoulder to cry on. In a moment of confusion and vulnerability, Johnny misreads the situation and tries to kiss Callum.
