Linda is already on shaky ground, battling to maintain her sobriety, when more poison pen letters arrive, shaking her to the core. But the torment doesn’t stop there—Dean, still pulling strings from behind bars, orders Bernie to ramp up the pressure on Linda. The letters escalate to texts, leaving Linda horrified as she realizes the person behind the threats now has her phone number.
Overwhelmed and frightened, Linda tells her son Johnny that she’s too scared to attend the meeting. As the meeting begins, prosecutor Tamara zeroes in on Linda, whose unsteady state becomes apparent, leaving everyone on edge.
Meanwhile, Peter Beale is fuming after Bobby is promoted to manager at Beale’s Eels—something Peter feels should have been his job.

Peter, however, jumps to the wrong conclusion, assuming their family’s ongoing dramas are at the root of the decision. In a twist, Junior steps in after overhearing the conversation, offering Peter a job on his new contract to keep him from stirring up more trouble.
Elsewhere, Nish Panesar makes a bold move to drive a wedge between Suki and Eve, presenting Ayesha with an enticing offer.
