Fiz Dobbs’s (Jennie McAlpine) world is set to spiral once more as Alina Pop and her son Dorin return to Weatherfield, stirring up old wounds and reigniting her worst fears.
In upcoming scenes, Ruby excitedly embraces her new baby brother Dorin, but Hope is less than thrilled, refusing to have anything to do with him. Meanwhile, Alina is plagued by menacing calls, fearing it’s the people traffickers who once terrorized her. But when Tyrone Dobbs hints that Hope could be behind the harassment, Alina is furious and dismisses the idea.
Tensions reach a boiling point when Fiz discovers that Tyrone lied about a large bill, which was actually for a consultation with Adam Barlow regarding Dorin. Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz, reveals, “She is furious, all she wants is for him to be honest with her… and then to cap it all, he says he wants Alina and Dorin to move to Weatherfield. She doesn’t know what to think.”
As Alina seeks refuge at No.9, Tyrone learns of her fears that someone is watching her. The situation takes a darker turn when Alina is confronted by a thug, threatening her against giving evidence in court.
Fiz is left questioning everything. “Fiz did the right thing by telling Tyrone [about Dorin], but when it’s confirmed that the baby is his, she feels like her life has been turned upside down all over again,” Jennie says. “It changes everything; there is a child who Tyrone will want to be involved with, and therefore Alina is back in their lives for good too.”

As the drama unfolds, Fiz can’t shake the fear that Tyrone might be tempted to stray again. “Bringing back those memories is the worst thing,” Jennie admits. “You can’t blame her for worrying now there is a child bringing Alina and Tyrone potentially closer.”
With emotions running high, will Fiz be able to keep her family together, or will Alina’s return shatter her world once more?
Coronation Street air these scenes on ITV1 from Monday 19th August
