Chelsea Fox is set for a dramatic week on EastEnders as her desperation leads her down a dangerous path. After being forced out of No. 1 and losing her job at Peggy’s, Chelsea is feeling the pressure. Zaraah Abrahams, who plays Chelsea, reveals her character’s mindset heading into the week: “I think she feels a little bit disappointed and thrown, although she has been through worse. So she is always ready to tackle things and get through it. It’s just made her more determined to make things better for herself and her son.”
Tensions between Chelsea and Penny are at an all-time high, with Chelsea believing Penny has manipulated her way into a job at the club. “Chelsea extended herself to Penny, thinking she was doing a good thing. But Penny manipulated the situation for personal gain and has been ungrateful, mistreating Chelsea in the process. Chelsea isn’t one to back down – wrong is wrong, and right is right,” Zaraah explains.

In a desperate attempt to reclaim her position, Chelsea decides to sabotage Peggy’s booking system, hoping to expose Penny’s incompetence. “Chelsea wants to rubbish the night, hoping that Phil will see Penny isn’t all she’s cracked herself up to be and give Chelsea her job back. As far as Chelsea is concerned, she’s earned that position,” Zaraah says.
However, when Chelsea walks out mid-shift as chaos ensues, she has no idea what’s about to unfold. “She thinks it’s just going to be too busy, too hot, and people will complain. She doesn’t anticipate anything worse,” Zaraah shares. But when news of a crush at Peggy’s reaches her, Chelsea is devastated. “She feels absolutely awful. It was never her intention for anything to go so badly wrong, and instantly she is filled with guilt,” the actress reveals.
As the weight of her actions bears down on her, Chelsea’s struggle with guilt is only beginning. “I think she is going to take it quite hard, especially because she is a mum now, so has another perspective on what life means,” Zaraah adds.
Will Chelsea be able to cope with the consequences of her actions, or will the guilt prove too much for her to bear?
