Things take a dramatic turn on Coronation Street as Joel’s parents, Gus and Anthea, stir up unexpected chaos – and Lauren is left worrying after a development with baby Frankie.
Dee-Dee finds herself dodging an awkward situation when Joel’s parents invite her to a memorial service for their late son’s birthday. Insisting she’s too busy, Dee-Dee hurriedly ushers Gus and Anthea out – just as Max passes by with Frankie in his pram. Max introduces them to Lauren’s son, but when Dee-Dee reveals who they are, he’s left utterly mortified.
Later, Gus and Anthea meet briefly with their solicitor, Cliff, but cut the meeting short when Max arrives with Frankie. He invites them back to No.8, leaving them briefly unsupervised while he pops upstairs. However, Max is shocked to discover they’ve vanished by the time he returns.
Meanwhile, Lauren is hit with every parent’s nightmare when bruising is discovered on Frankie’s body. He is rushed to the hospital, where tests are urgently needed. What has happened to Frankie, and could Gus and Anthea be linked?
