Rose Ayling-Ellis to guest star in ‘Doctor Who’ for one of the show’s ‘most frightening episodes ever’
Rose Ayling-Ellis MBE has been announced as a guest star in the upcoming second season of Doctor Who, joining Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor for a ‘thrilling and frightening adventure’ set to air in 2025.
Showrunner Russell T Davies described Rose’s performance as a standout moment in the series. ‘We always want guest actors on Doctor Who to have fun, but Rose takes it to a whole new level. She storms in with an astonishing performance of terror, anger and bravery in one of the most frightening episodes we’ve ever made,’ he said.

Rose herself couldn’t contain her excitement about stepping into the world of the iconic sci-fi series. ‘I loved Doctor Who when I was growing up, so being cast in the show was a dream come true. My inner child is ecstatic with excitement! Working with Russell and filming alongside the talented cast and crew has been an incredible experience. Ncuti is a wonderful Doctor, and I can’t wait for audiences to see what we have created together,’ she shared.
The past year has been a groundbreaking one for Rose, who received an MBE for her voluntary services to the Deaf community. From becoming the first Deaf presenter of live sport at the Paralympic Games to appearing on Who Do You Think You Are and in the critically acclaimed Ludwig, Rose has cemented herself as a trailblazer.
