In the hospital the McQueens are left heartbroken to learn Mercedes has contracted an infection and the next 24 hours are critical. A weak Mercedes sees through Myra’s lie of pretending everything is ok and asks her family to take her home. Hearing John Paul is in the hospital, Cleo panics thinking he’s there to take her home. Peri breaks the painful truth to her friend on Mercedes condition. John Paul respects Mercedes wishes and against Myra’s concerns, with the help of Peri he takes his cousin home.
Robbie is excited about Vicky’s scan and finally being able to tell everyone the news. At the scan Vicky and Robbie are relieved to know the pregnancy is going well. Vicky asks Robbie if they can keep their special moment between them for a little bit longer.
