Fans watched as Leo and Krista finally tied the knot in a stunning waterfront ceremony that was as picture-perfect as it was emotional. But while the vows might have gone off without a hitch, there is drama bubbling beneath the surface….

Speaking exclusively to Eastieoaks.com, stars Tim Kano (Leo) and Majella Davis (Krista) opened up about filming the lavish wedding scenes – now available to watch on Prime Video.

Majella Davis, who plays Krista, described filming the milestone episode as a “magical” experience. ‘It was a gorgeous day; in the middle of spring in Melbourne, the weather can be hit or miss — but it ended up being so sunny and perfect. Everyone really came together. Normally, Neighbours weddings happen over a couple of days or at multiple locations, but because we were filming outside Melbourne, in Williamstown, it all took place in one big day. So we banded together, focused, and had the most amazing time. It looked stunning.’

Her co-star Tim Kano (Leo) praised the production team’s efforts: ‘Thank you, it was an incredible shoot day. They really invested in it, and we had an amazing location. Majella looked absolutely incredible too — her dress was handmade from scratch by Taylor. So much love and effort went into every detail.’

But true to Neighbours form, all wasn’t quite as serene as it seemed.

While fans might have expected chaos during the ceremony itself, the drama had unfolded beforehand — and lingered ominously after the “I dos.”

‘Normally with Neighbours weddings, the drama is at the altar,’ Tim explained. ‘But here, it happens before and after. The ceremony itself actually runs smoothly… although Seb does show up.’ ‘Seb’s in the background, unbeknownst to us. Krista is going through a lot emotionally — it’s a difficult day for her, and for Leo. He’s not even sure if she’ll show up.’

And then came that boat entrance, which was as much a surprise off-screen as it was on.

‘We didn’t show each other our outfits beforehand,’ Majella revealed. ‘We wanted to keep it a surprise, so when I stepped off the boat and arrived in the scene, it was the first time Tim saw me — and I saw him. It was actually really emotional.’

Tim, added: ‘Leo thinks she’s not coming because of something he did wrong. He has no idea what’s really going on behind the scenes. So when she finally arrives, he’s just so relieved. But of course, after the wedding… well, let’s just say, things don’t stay smooth for long.’

Neighbours continues tomorrow from 7am on Prime Video
