Holly and Byron are excited that Sadie is being discharged from hospital, until they’re told she isn’t going home. She’s moving back in with her parents so they can care for her. Byron thinks it’s a signpost that he and Sadie are on the verge of breaking up, but Holly and Max try to reassure that she’s going through something traumatic. Later, when a solo Sadie inspects her bandages in the mirror, her sadness gives way to rage – the extent of her devastation revealed as she breaks everything in her grasp.

Terese is feeling awkward after giving Chelsea a spray – should she or shouldn’t she tell Paul? She decides not to, especially after seeing his worry over Leo and the arrest. But later, when Paul tries to tee up a catch up with Chelsea and Thomas, he gets fobbed off, which makes him think he’s done something to upset Chelsea. As he dwells on it, Terese admits her part in Chelsea’s distance. Terese confesses all her insecurities and while Paul is sympathetic, he explains that he’s playing a long game with Chelsea to ensure he stays in Thomas’s life. This pushes Terese to offer Chelsea a heartfelt apology. And while on the surface she’s claiming she’ll be okay with this new family dynamic, on the inside, she’s struggling.

Remi is excited to be having a couples day with Cara, something they desperately need since their house is so full at the moment. But when Cara notices Chelsea is low, she offers to babysit Thomas so Chelsea can have a timeout. Remi is disappointed to be losing this special time but covers so that neither Chelsea nor Cara feel bad. While looking after Thomas, Remi starts to notice how territorial Cara is being over him. Chelsea can also see it but is happy for Cara’s investment, leaving Remi to be the only one concerned about her wife’s motivations.
